My name is Bob Hiss and I am running for re-election as your Town Moderator. My wife Mary and I have lived in Milton for 26 years and raised our three children here. I humbly ask for your support on April 29th.
A Note from Bob
During my career as a leader of a large international software business, I have used technology to solve problems that helped my customers run their business more efficiently.
As your Town Moderator, a former member of the Town Government Study Committee, and a Town Meeting Member, I observed numerous areas where we could save time during Town Meetings. One area that stood out was voting on articles that were delayed by requests for recounts. Another area was not informing citizens how their Town Meeting Members actually voted on articles.
My implementation of Electronic Voting (EV) solved both problems.
Why does this matter to citizens?
1) With EV, Town Meeting Members only need to vote once on an article so they spend their time deliberating on your behalf rather than in procedural discussions.
2) After Town Meeting is done, we publish the results of every vote so you know how your representatives voted.
Less time on process, more time on content, more transparency on voting.
